Hongdoc Studio (the “Company”) values the privacy of everyone who uses FilmGrade (the “App”) and complies with applicable laws. This policy explains what information we handle and how we protect it.
01 Core Principle
FilmGrade processes your photos on your device. Photos you capture or edit are never sent to our servers and are never stored externally.
02 Camera & Photo Access
FilmGrade uses device permissions for the following purposes:
- Camera — to take photos directly inside the app
- Photo Library — to import photos from your album for editing and to save the results back
This access exists solely to power editing features and does not collect or transmit the photos themselves. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
03 Information We Collect
We handle only the minimum information needed to operate the service.
- Purchase information — records of premium purchases and restorations. Payment details such as card numbers are never stored by us; they are handled by Apple.
- Diagnostic information — device model, OS version, and crash logs used to diagnose and stabilize app errors (where collected).
FilmGrade does not require any sign-up or login, and does not collect account information such as your name or email address.
04 Third-Party Processing
- Apple — processes premium payments and purchase restoration
- Google (Firebase) — error diagnostics and app stabilization (where applicable)
05 Retention & Deletion
We delete diagnostic information as soon as its purpose of improving the service has been fulfilled. Purchase records are retained for the period required by applicable law.
06 Children’s Privacy
FilmGrade is not directed at children under the age of 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
